I think it’s pretty safe to say that every person on this earth can agree on this one thing… We all need air to breath, and that’s where the coronavirus and air conditioning meet. SO, hoax or no hoax, as an HVAC company, we believe that the quality of that air that we so desperately need in order to breath should be pretty good. In fact, it should be as good as we can possibly make it, right? In the old days of our ancestors who built this great land before there was such convenience as AC and Heating units, there was very little in the way of regulating the quality and temperature of the air that surrounded us. They had no choice and they did what they could to stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Today, we have the most advanced technology at our finger tips to create a very diverse optional space for our every air conditioning need or want. This includes air quality. We could potentially even argue that quality can easily trump comfort, but thankfully we don’t have to because, we are after all, in the business of both! Everywhere you go, you are breathing pathogens that either help or weaken your immune system. Today, the big threat is the COVID-19 Coronavirus. A virus, according to the CDC, that isn’t limited to human contact, but rather one that floats in the air to seek it’s victims as well; hence the 6 foot radius, hence social distancing, hence the Big Q that so much of the world is currently under: quarantine.

With the use of PHI technology, special air purifiers called the REME HALO and the newer HALO LED have been designed to sanitize the air quality in your home, office, restaurant, any place with an AC system. “How is it different from the air purifier sitting right next to me”, you might ask. Fantastic question, glad you asked…. PHI technology works by putting oxidants that have been approved by the EPA (like hydroperoxides to name ONE) into the air which then go out of the air duct and into the house and actually neutralize contaminates right at the source (including viruses and bacteria – this has been medically tested at research facilities). Thusly, the coronavirus and air conditioning meet. Unless you bought your air purifier from a company that promotes and can prove that their purifiers have this technology in their product, it’s most likely not going to be able to kill viruses. In fact, most of those room by room purifiers do not have any kind of oxidants to improve air quality. They only have the single UV-C protection that isn’t high powered enough to actually clean the air effectively. Now, don’t get me wrong, basic filters work really well and definitely have their place. After all, there’s one in every AC and heating unit, BUT, they can not kill viruses or eliminate allergens no matter how often they are changed/cleaned. And THAT my friend, is our entire point.
